Is Smoky Maple gluten free?

Is Smoky Maple The Same As BBQ Rub #103?

Consider Smoky Maple the updated version of BBQ Rub #103. We’ve refined the flavor, and elevated the taste of the sweetness to be a mild mix of maple sugar and brown sugar. If you’d like to know how to substitute the blends, know that you can substitute it 1:1! But we always suggest the first time you use an Acme seasoning you try it with less than your “usual” amount. You can always taste as you cook and add more, or even just before serving you can add more.

Why are there clumps in my seasoning?

Great question! We have chosen to not add any anti caking ingredients to our seasonings because we want you to have a pure, full flavor seasoning!

Clumps usually happen when seasonings are exposed to moisture. That could be, natural humidity, and cooking humidity, damp fingers in the tin.

The clumps are safe, and all you need to do is rub them between your fingers or smash them with the back of a fork to break them up.

Is Smoky Maple good on tofu, or jack fruit?

Yes, it is great! It lends a lightly salty and sweet flavor to plant based proteins, you can then cook on a grill or stove top. Because there is brown sugar and maple sugar, it will burn more easily than other seasonings, so stay close to the pan and keep the heat a little lower than usual.

Can I use Smoky Maple seasoning if I am using the BBQ grill to cook?

Of course! That is a great and flavorful way to cook. Let us know what you tried it on and how it went!
