The difference between grains of salts

Does knowing the difference in salts even matter?

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Step 1

Decide what you will be preparing using these guides.
Instant noodles

  • Ramen noodles can come in packages without the seasoning that do not require cooking. Look at the preparation instructions on the package, if it says to let sit in boiling liquid for 3 minutes that is what you are looking for! Ramen noodles that require cooking – all you need to do is add the noodles to the boiling liquid and cook for as long as the package instructs. If it comes with a seasoning packet, you can save that for a different meal (or throw it away).

Liquid options

  • Any packaged or homemade broth, vegetable, chicken or beef. Bone broth is a great option also!

4 Categories of Salt

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Meat:

  • Browned ground meat (beef, pork or chicken) seasoned with Acme Superior Salt Mix, rotisserie chicken pulled from the bone and cut in chunks, leftover steak, Chinese BBQ pork, sliced and cut in strips, cooked shrimp, sausage, etc.

Vegetables:

  • Onion cut so the layers of onion make thin strips, carrots cut julienne (another term is in matchstick size), zucchini (julienne or matchstick), leftover roasted broccoli, leftover sauteed mushrooms, etc.
  • Flavorful toppings like green onions, thinly sliced, sesame seeds, fresh basil leaves, chili oil, etc.
Step 2

Cooking Method
Gather the items you want to have with your noodles. Prepare them for your meal. That would be by cutting the vegetables, cutting up the meat if needed.

Step 3

Some items will need more time cooking than others. If your meat needs to be cooked (because it is raw), season the meat with a pinch of Acme Superior Salt mix, cook the meat in the same saucepan that you want to heat the broth in.

When your choice of  meat is almost done ,add any vegetables that need longer cooking times like carrots, parsnips, onions, broccoli, mushrooms first.

Sautee these in the pan with the meat as the meat finishes cooking. Just as the meat finishes and the vegetables are nearly done add in your preferred Acme seasoning.

Finally, add in the 2 cups of broth and bring the whole pot to a boil. While you are waiting for the boil. If you need to reheat your meat instead, this is the time to add that meat in.

Step 4

While you are waiting for the meat, vegetables and broth to boil, put your instant noodles in a bowl, and if you are having zucchini, bean sprouts, or other soft vegetables you can put them in the bowl too.

Once the broth is boiling, pour the contents of the pot over the noodles. Cover the bowl with a pot lid, or a kitchen towel.

Let sit for 3 minutes.

Step 5

Taste your broth, you might want a little more Acme Superior Salt mix, and then garnish with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
